Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Dr. Nils Roemer
Billhorner Deich 88
20539 Hamburg
Germany

Email: nils.roemer@planningio.com

This website is a purely informational course website. It does not use web analytics, tracking, or embedded chat assistants. To exercise your rights or for any questions about data processing, please contact us using the details above.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit this website, GitHub technically requires certain connection data to deliver the pages to your device. This includes your IP address, the date and time of your request, the pages accessed, and general browser and operating system information. This data is processed transiently in server logs to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability; it is not merged with other data sources by us or used to identify individual visitors.

Because GitHub, Inc. is based in the USA, your data may be transferred to a third country. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023). This forms the basis for the transfer.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing and securing this website).

3. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use any tracking, analytics, or marketing tools. No information is stored on or read from your device, so no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required.

All fonts, scripts, and images are served from this website’s own hosting. Visiting the pages does not trigger requests to third-party font or script providers (such as Google Fonts or content delivery networks).

4. Embedded video

One course page embeds a single YouTube video using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. In this mode, YouTube does not store cookies on your device unless you actively start playback. When the page containing the video is opened, your browser establishes a technical connection to YouTube’s servers to load the player, which transmits your IP address. If you play the video, YouTube may process further usage data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in presenting educational video content); any processing following playback is subject to Google’s responsibility.

5. Your data protection rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us as the controller using the details in Section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
